Christmas in Cathedral Square Craft Market
Birmingham's Christmas in Cathedral Square Craft Market was established in November 2021 to provide a sustainable platform to showcase the very best of the regions independent traders and entrepreneurs.
This market is sited in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, located within the grounds of Birmingham Cathedral, a Grade 1 listed building and home to some remarkable treasures. The market is a unique visitor attraction and offers visitors an alternative to the usual shopping experience, as they will be buying original work directly from you!
This year there will be 40 days trading, with the market opening on Wednesday 13th November and running through to Sunday 22nd December 2024:
Monday to Wednesday 11:00am to 9:00pm
Thursday to Saturday 11:00am to 9:30pm
Sunday 12:00 noon to 9:00pm
What You Can Expect To See
Each year we have 60+ individual businesses selling a wide variety of diverse arts and crafts, interspersed with seasonal food and drink. This is because not all our makers can sustain staying with us for the full event but opt for a shorter trading time instead.
Danter Attractions Limited is the delivery vehicle for the market, working with Birmingham Cathedral, Colmore Business Improvement District and Birmingham City Council and forming a partnership that fully contributes to making Birmingham the number one destination for Christmas.
With the wealth of knowledge gleaned from organising and participating in events for many years, we are happy to advise any new applicants wishing to take part for the first time, as having the courage to sell your work to customers, other than friends and family, can be very daunting and additional encouragement is sometimes all that is needed.
Why Birmingham is Your Number One Christmas Destination
Last year alone, over 10m visitors experienced Christmas in Birmingham, making Birmingham one of the UK’s most Christmassy cities.
